This is the first time Sarah Ellerton has ever painted a car!
COMIC ARCHIVE
How old is Elanor supposed to be now?

This is just the Australian in me talking, but I find myself wishing Sarah had managed to slip a holden in there *lol* Not quite right for the U.S.
I spotted this with the trolly car on page 21 as well but I just want to note how wonderful it is to see all these 1940 items in near-new condition. You see all this stuff in films but they all look aged while these all feel like they're still brand spanking new for the time.
Beautiful job so far, guys - I can't wait to see where this is going!
A little different here, but basically the same so far.
Good, though. I like it.
Granted, the story is about an American teenage girl with a psychic link to a foreign boy, but reading about the story, it sounds like there are some significant differences in the link. It seems to be brought on by dizzy spells that each of them experiences rather than sleep (i.e. I get the impression they still sleep normally). Each of them is also aware when the other is "present" in their mind.
But Bobby's story it's self is also gripping and far different. By beginning the story with such a cliff-hanger on page 4 we're all left hanging on for what Elanor saw. The other story also used a fairly routine kids tale of a prince getting kidnapped and the girl linked to him, helping to rescue him. Here we have almost a Romeo and Juliet tale between two people of different cultures with the impending knowledge that their nations are headed for war.
Looking forward 'till next monday already!
Poor Elanor..
I think Bobby will bring us into a completely un-thought of conclusion. We are basically getting the beginning of it so far. This is just Act 1 we haven't come close yet to the crescendo. I am eagerly awaiting each and every step because each one we see is pretty much amazing to me. I try not to postulate but I do cross my fingers for what I hope comes next. I still wish I could peek in Bobby's head so I can see where it is going.
I'm really interested in where this comic is going. Thanks Bobby and Sarah for the hard work. ^^
As for the first panel being dark. I guess it was sunset when she was out all that way, so it was probably dark by the time she got back to shore, but it does look very sad like that. Sort of like a portal of some sort has closed off and there's just a wall out there now, rather than a glimmer of hope at reachign each other that we saw in the last panel of page 23.
Still, it's very sad that she's seen as a weird girl all the time.
it's not bad... just... seems different. maybe i'm going crazy. :D
I'm also ready for some non-narrated story, so I feel like this transition is well timed.
My favourite panel on this page is the second-to-last one, just because of the little details.
Hurrah for new updates!
The green sleeved person has part of their shoulder covered by the hair of the person they have their arm around. Also, the blue part of the sleeve may be causing your eye to think it is longer. It is in fact proportionate, it is an optical illusion that you are noting. It did not even register to me when I first looked at it and it took me a while to see what you were in fact seeing.
I don't know if it's because of the name, but something just makes me think of the PC-game "Dreamfall: The longest journey".. probably the name..
//O.
They were fantastic comics but dont even compare to this.
Your previous work was fun.
This is art.
I love it.

I think Bobby twittered that he's got 3 pages of it out so we should be seeing a good run of Marry Me over the next few weeks. Sounds like he's on a roll with the comics of late. He keeps churning out these batches of 3 pages at a time.
I'm ravenous for more :D
ComicGirl: I don't understand how people even read daily story comics without going back and re-reading the whole thing each time. It's not designed to be read one page at a time obviously. Wait a year and come back and read the whole thing if it bothers you so much, jeez. Did it piss you off a few weeks ago when we had three pages up in one week because we "promise" that it only updates every Monday? " . . . update promises that always seem to fall through." Yeah, "always," because we've only had 25 pages in 27 weeks for a weekly comic.
from where I sit, it's like there hasnt been anything posted since the whole turned down invitation to the beach thing.
if it's a display error or something,
we'd all be super happy to see it fixed :]
